Urge to kill...rising!
So it turns out my laptop has already been "delivered". On the 13th. There was a slight mix-up concerning packages. I got a notice from Fed-Ex concerning a package and went to get it, but no one was home. So I left (I think to Heritage). When I came back, a package was sitting inside for me. I mistook this as the package delivered to me by Fed-Ex (figuring one of the girls next door got home and decided to drop it off). Turns out it wasn't. My laptop has been less than 50 feet from me for nearly A WHOLE WEEK and I never knew it! ARRRRRRGH!

Urge to kill is still rising, but at a much slowed rate. I am finally typing a post on my OWN computer... Only they reformatted by hard drive and restored it to factory settings. I backed everything up so I didn't lose anything, but this is an incredible pain and I cannot see any reason they needed to do this to fix HARDWARE problems. Jerks.

Urge to kill is now thoroughly confused. I'm pretty sure it's dropping. I'm finally getting all of my stuff re-installed and set up again. Unfortunately, I had so many customized settings that doing this was a very laborious task and things still aren't quite what they were prior to sending it in.
But now I have made the discovery that...MY BATTERY DOESN'T WORK!!! It worked perfectly beforehand and held a charge to power the laptop for about 2 hrs or so. Now it won't even power up on a "fully charged" battery.
However, they're going to send a replacement to me free of charge. I can't tell if this is because it's under warranty (which seems to be the real reason) or because they hosed my battery while fixing the rest of the computer. Either way, free, new battery. But it's STILL friggin' annoying.
