Wow, I want some eye-tracking hardware/software! It'd be cool to know how I read.

If you're wondering about what your face and eyes do, your eyes move along each line (as opposed to remaining relatively fixated). Some people's eyes follow along each line, some people have their whole head move slightly with each line (something you occasionally do), and some have almost no eye or head movement.

Kelty's husband is working on some program that (as I understand it) is a mouse that follows your eye movements, leaving your hands free. While the idea of the technology is cool, I'm not sure that I like the idea of its application. I think there is a lot of potential for doing things that you don't intend to do.

Wow, talk about having to be focused on what you're doing on the computer.

Speaking of tracking with eyes, there is nothing more beautiful than looking at the moon in your own telescope. There's also few things that require so much fine-tuning and steady hands. Trying to get Mars is even MORE difficult (though I did have it for a moment). You all have to brave the cold one of these nights to see it. The moon itself will be full next Thursday, but anytime between now and then (and a week after then) would be great viewing time.

I remember reading a short story by Orson Scott Card set in Asimov's Foundation universe which showcased some pretty sweet eye-based mousing. According to the story, people learned to stare at a point which didn't do anything while reading, so as to not activate functions. I wonder how hard that would be to do.

I got to see Duane's program last night. It was pretty cool. The computer "saw" Leah's face. It tracked her movements, the general direction she was moving in, etc. There is some serious potential there. It's fun.

Someone needs to click only once :).

Is a double click what causes a double post?

Actually, I just noticed that I had spelled my name wrong, and I pushed delete but that was after I had pushed enter to post. It takes me back, I fix my name, but it's too late. I've already posted under the wrong name. Ah, well.

Ah, I had not noticed that differance.
