Bugs
I'm finally starting to grasp the trade-off between stability and innovation. I've always been one to innovate in my programming, not even flinching at the thought of reengineering thousands of lines of code. Bugs never bothered me before, because I could fix them as they came up; I was the only one they impacted. But now I'm in a corporate environment with deadlines and customers that WILL use each and every feature that I didn't test. I've had my hands slapped enough that I think twice before making unneccessary changes in the name of beauty or simplicity. "If it works, don't break it," is swiftly becoming my motto. Maybe I'm finally maturing as a computer programmer? Wow, that was one long adolescent phase.

Don't completely let go of innovation, though. "If everybody was satisfied with himself, there would be no heroes." Play within the rules, but don't forget to play.
