Is there a soloution to the unsolved puzzle? I just keep getting into a cycle where the pattern repeats wtihout getting any closer to completion. I just want to know if it is possible. My brian is slowly frying as I try to figure it out.

By "unsolved" it is meant that noone in contemporary society has been able to solve this problem yet. It is believed to be unsolvable, but noone has been able to prove that either. If it has a solution, it will probably be more than 200 dominos long at least.

Just to let you know, I have decided to undertake solving, or proving it unsolveable, the unsolved puzzle. I currently have 11 confirmed dominoes in order, but the interesting part, is that you can throw yourself into as many vicious cycles as you want to, because some of the sequences I tried can fit right back at the beginning of another sequence.

Well, I should warn you that it is probably unsolvable, in which case you'll have to prove it by some means other than arranging dominos. But if you should happen upon a solution that will be quite the happy arrangement and laud and honor shall be yours.

After a ton of grueling work, I now have 21 confirmed tiles. The stupid things keep going in circles, but at least I eliminated several possibilities because they weren't optimal.

It's going great. I'm actually just at good ol' 213 doing some random projects until I go to work at 11. Yay.

Or I guess that was more of a rhetorical question and never really meant for me to answer.
